Details: The head of the British government commented on the tension between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump in the White House, stating that "such incidents are clearly unacceptable".

He emphasized that he met with the Ukrainian president yesterday and spoke with Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron, "and my main objective was to restore dialogue and return to the crucial issues".

"We agreed that Britain, together with France and possibly a few other countries, would work with Ukraine on a ceasefire plan, which we would then discuss with the United States," Starmer announced.

He urged "not to lose sight of our main goal – establishing lasting peace in Ukraine".

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House early on Friday, February 28, following a quarrel with Donald Trump and Vice President Jay D. Vance.

During a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, Starmer assured that Britain would continue to support Ukraine "for as long as necessary" and is firmly committed to achieving sustainable peace.
