The Ukrainian defense forces have successfully neutralized 80 enemy drones that Russian troops employed to attack starting the evening of December 4. The Air Forces of Ukraine reported this via their Telegram channel.
According to military sources, the aggressors launched a total of 137 different types of drones, including the 'Gerbera' and Shahed models.
The launches were carried out from Russian cities such as Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the occupied territory of Crimea.
Approximately 90 of these targets turned out to be strike drones of the Shahed type.
The attack was repelled by air defense forces, including anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare units.
By Friday morning, it was confirmed that the air defense had shot down 80 different Russian UAVs across northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of the country.
In 13 locations, impacts from 57 enemy strike drones were recorded.
