Since the beginning of December 2, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have recorded 131 combat engagements with Russian troops. The enemy is focusing its efforts primarily on the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions, with increased activity also noted in the Kostiantynivka area. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on social media, providing updates as of 16:00.
Today, Russian artillery again shelled border villages, including Bleshnya and Tymonovychy in Chernihiv region, as well as Malushyne and Novovasylivka in Sumy region.
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursky directions, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attacks, with another engagement ongoing. There have been 78 shelling incidents in these frontline areas.
In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces stopped eight attacks from the enemy in the areas of Prylipka and Synelnykove, as well as Vovchansk. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansky direction, Russian forces attempted assaults six times in the areas of Senkivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the Russians attacked 29 times in the areas of Novovodyane and Novohryhorivka, with seven engagements still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Yampol, Druzhivka, and Siversk. Another engagement is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, there were no engagements today.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, defenders stopped 21 offensive actions from the Russian army in the regions of Oleksandro-Shultine and Pleshchiyivka. Two engagements are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops made 36 attempts to push the Defense Forces from their positions. Defenders have repelled 32 of these attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Russian army attacked nine times in the areas of Yalta and Oleksandrovgrad.
In the Huliaipilsk direction, three combat engagements were recorded in the areas of Zatyshshia and Huliaipole.
Russian aviation struck at Novo Zaporizhzhia and Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv and Dniprovsk directions, the invaders did not conduct offensive actions today.
The situation in other areas of the frontline remains stable.
