On the night of November 28, Ukrainian forces targeted the oil refinery in Saratov and drone storage sites at the «Saki» airfield in Crimea, currently held by occupiers.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this via social media.
Following a series of explosions at the refinery, a large fire was observed. Information regarding the results is still being clarified.
The General Staff emphasized that the Saratov refinery is involved in meeting the needs of the Russian military, producing over 20 types of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, and technical sulfur.
At the «Saki» airfield, preliminary reports indicate that several air defense facilities were hit, including the «Pantsir-S1» and «TOR-M2» systems. After neutralizing the enemy's air defense systems, Ukrainian forces managed to destroy a hangar where the «Orion» and «Forpost» drones were stored. The command and control point and a military «KamAZ» truck of the invaders were also struck. Damage assessment is ongoing.
Additionally, areas of concentration of enemy personnel and fuel and lubricants storage sites in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions were also affected. Results are still being verified.
