In a significant defense operation, Ukraine's air defense forces successfully neutralized 72 out of 90 drones launched by Russian forces on the evening of November 25. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Starting from 19:00 on November 25, the aggressors targeted Ukraine with two ballistic missiles "Iskander-M" launched from the Rostov region and 90 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, "Gerbera," and other drones from the directions of: Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 55 of these UAVs were of the Shahed type.
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00 on November 26, the air defense system had shot down or suppressed 72 UAVs in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.
There were recorded missile hits and 10 strike drones at 10 different locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace.
