The F-16 fighters in Ukraine have intercepted over 1300 aerial targets and destroyed more than 300 ground targets. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Since their arrival in August 2024, the F-16s have marked a historic advancement in enhancing Ukraine's air capabilities. Ukrainian pilots quickly mastered this technology, transforming it into an effective tool for countering aggression.
By employing innovative tactics in aerial and anti-air battles, Ukrainian crews demonstrate consistently high results while repelling Russian attacks. Notably, during the defense against a Russian strike on November 19, F-16 and Mirage-2000 pilots intercepted and shot down at least 10 enemy cruise missiles.
In addition to air defense missions, these aircraft are actively used for air support of ground troops, hitting over 300 ground targets, including hundreds of pieces of Russian equipment, command posts, UAV control points, ammunition depots, and enemy logistics.
F-16 pilots and ground aviation personnel operate daily under extremely challenging conditions. The main concern for everyone right now is ensuring a steady and timely supply of aviation munitions from Western partners. Without a sufficient number of bombs and missiles, the F-16s cannot secure victory over the enemy, emphasized the Air Forces.
Additionally, it should be noted that air defense forces neutralized 442 drones, 34 X-101 cruise missiles, and seven "Kalibr" missiles launched by the Russian Federation in their attacks on Ukraine since 6 PM on Tuesday, November 18.
