Last night, Russian drones targeted the railway station in Dnipro and the suburban depot serving passenger trains in the region. Minister for Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba confirmed the information via Telegram.
"The enemy struck the railway infrastructure in Dnipro; fortunately, there were no casualties," he stated.
"The suburban depot responsible for passenger trains suffered severe damage, marking the second attack on it during the ongoing war," the minister added.
According to Kuleba, the main repair shop has been significantly damaged.
"The station in Dnipro has been affected, but work has already begun to clear the rubble and restore operations," he wrote.
Despite this, morning trains from Dnipro departed on schedule, the minister noted.
"Additionally, the enemy struck several railway stations in the Kharkiv region. In Berestine, a railway worker was injured and received necessary medical assistance. Damages were reported to carriages and other infrastructure at four stations," the message stated.
"These terrorist strikes are aimed at destroying the logistics system. However, despite the shelling, we are doing everything possible to maintain communication between communities and quickly restore full movement across all routes," the minister assured.
