Over the past week, Russia has launched approximately 1,000 strike drones against Ukraine, along with nearly 980 guided bombs and 36 missiles of various types. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Facebook.
He mentioned that recovery operations are ongoing in Kharkiv and Odesa regions, as well as in Dnipropetrovsk. Rescue teams are also active in Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
“Last night, the Russians launched over 170 drones at Ukraine, at least half of which were ‘Shaheds’. Throughout this week, around 1,000 strike drones, almost 980 guided bombs, and 36 missiles of different types were fired at our people,” emphasized Zelensky.
He highlighted that each night requires a multi-layered air defense system, including air defense systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, and interceptor drones.
“We are actively working with partners to enhance Ukraine's aerial defense. We have prepared new strong agreements with Europe to significantly bolster our air defenses, resilience, and diplomacy,” noted Zelensky.
