On the night of November 14, Russian troops launched a powerful combined strike against Kyiv and the surrounding area. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed, and there are casualties. This was reported by the heads of the city and military administrations of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko and Timur Tkachenko, as well as representatives of the State Emergency Service.
The invaders targeted various districts of the city using strike drones and missiles of different types.
In particular, in the Podil district, a high-rise building was struck at the 15th floor, in the Svyatoshyn district — at the 7th floor, and in the Obolon district — a nine-story building was hit, causing fires in apartments from the 7th to the 9th floors.
In the Dnipro district, debris from a drone hit a five-story building, resulting in damage on one of the lower floors and fires in two apartments. Fires were reported in at least five buildings. Overall, rescuers saved more than 40 people from the affected buildings.
There were also reports of damage to administrative buildings, fires at a school, and the burning of wooden houses at a sports base. Portions of heating networks were damaged, leading to temporary heating outages in some buildings in the Desnyansky district.
Preliminarily, the number of fatalities in the capital has risen to three, although this information is being verified as rescuers have not been able to retrieve bodies. The number of injured has also increased to 26 residents, including two children aged 7 and 10. Nine people have been hospitalized, including a pregnant woman.
Additionally, Russian forces heavily struck Kyiv Oblast, particularly hitting critical infrastructure facilities.
Six people were injured. In Bila Tserkva, a 55-year-old man was hospitalized with thermal burns. In other parts of the region, a 40-year-old man suffered multiple shoulder wounds, a 47-year-old man sustained a cut on his forearm, a seven-year-old child had facial injuries, a 56-year-old man had a head injury, and a 56-year-old woman had lacerations on her arm.
In Bucha, Vyshhorod, and Fastiv districts, private houses caught fire, in Bila Tserkva — warehouse premises, and in Obukhiv district — a car.
