In the early hours of November 5, Ukraine faced an onslaught as Russia deployed 80 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types. The attack originated from various locations such as Kursk, Oryol, and Milleryovo. Approximately 50 of these drones were identified as Shaheds. The aerial assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
By 09:00, Ukrainian air defense had shot down or suppressed 61 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types across the north, south, and east regions.
Reports indicate that 18 strike drones hit 7 locations, and debris fell on 2 others. The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace.
