On the night of October 21-22, Russian forces conducted extensive attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities. According to DTEK and local energy providers, strikes were reported in Kyiv.
The infrastructure of Poltava region was also affected, with direct hits and debris damaging oil and gas industry facilities in the Mirhorod district. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
In Odesa region, Russian forces targeted Izmail, damaging energy and port infrastructure.
"The city’s power supply is gradually being restored, and critical infrastructure is operating on generators. Resilience points have been set up in the city," noted the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleg Kiper, at 08:12 on October 22.
DTEK also reported attacks on its facility in Odesa region.
Reports of hits on energy infrastructure also emerged from Cherkasy region, where the regional administration indicated that there were consequences for "critical infrastructure" without providing details.
In Sumy region, at least one hit on civilian infrastructure was reported.
In Chernihiv region, the aggressor struck energy facilities in three communities – in the Koryukivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi districts.
"Our energy workers worked continuously for a whole day to restore power to homes," the regional administration stated.
In Kirovohrad region, there were reports of rocket and drone strikes, resulting in 27 settlements being left without electricity.
In Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region, the enemy hit an infrastructure facility. There were also hits on infrastructure in two communities in the region.
In the city of Lozova, located in Kharkiv region, railway infrastructure was damaged.
