The air defense forces have successfully neutralized 136 out of 164 Russian drones. This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force via Telegram.
Starting from 7 PM on October 17, Russian forces launched an attack using three S-300 guided missiles from the Kursk region and 164 strike UAVs, including Shahed, "Gerbera," and other types from various directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Approximately 100 of these were Shahed drones.
The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
As of 9 AM on October 18, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down 136 UAVs in the north, south, east, and central parts of Ukraine.
There were recorded hits of 27 strike UAVs at 12 locations, as well as debris from downed targets at 4 locations. The attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones still in the airspace, emphasized the Air Force.
