During the nighttime assault on October 14, Ukraine's air defense forces demonstrated remarkable effectiveness by neutralizing 86 out of 113 drones launched by Russian troops. This information was relayed by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
At 10:50 PM on Tuesday, October 14, the enemy initiated strikes with 113 drones of various types, including Shahed and Gerbera, from directions such as Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, with around 50 of them being Shahed drones.
The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
As of 8:30 AM on Wednesday, October 15, initial reports indicated that air defense had downed 86 drones across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
There were confirmed hits on 26 strike drones at 11 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed targets at one site. The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
