The Ukrainian air defense forces have neutralized 87 out of 112 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
Since 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, Russian forces launched an attack using 112 strike drones of the Shahed type, "Gerbera" and other UAVs from the directions of: Millerovo, Kursk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk. More than 70 of them were Shahed drones.
The aerial assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
Preliminary data as of 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 9, indicates that air defense has shot down/neutralized 87 Shahed, "Gerbera," and other type drones in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.
22 strikes by attack UAVs were recorded at 12 locations. The attack continues, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace.
