Ukraine's air defense successfully neutralized 154 out of 183 drones launched by Russian forces starting from the evening of October 7. This information was shared by the Air Forces of Ukraine via Telegram. 
Starting at 6:30 PM on October 7, Russian troops attacked using 183 strike drones, including the Shahed type, from various locations such as Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The assault was countered by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
As of 9:00 AM on October 8, preliminary reports indicate that air defense shot down 154 drones in the north, south, east, and central regions of Ukraine.
There were confirmed hits from 22 strike drones across 11 locations. The attack continues, and several enemy drones remain in the air, the Air Forces warned.
Additionally, Russian invaders targeted one of DTEK's thermal power plants, resulting in injuries to two energy workers.
