The Ukrainian air defense forces have successfully neutralized 83 out of 116 drones used by the enemy in their attacks on October 5th evening. This information was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Starting from 8 PM on Sunday, October 5th, the aggressors launched an assault with 116 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, "Herbera", and other types from directions including: Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and from Hvardeyske (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The aerial assault was countered by aviation, electronic warfare units, and UAV systems, alongside mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary data as of 9 AM on Monday, October 6th, indicates that the air defense has shot down or suppressed 83 UAVs across the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
There were 30 strike UAVs recorded hitting seven locations. The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
