Due to an emergency situation in the Kyiv region that resulted in damage to railway infrastructure, three women required medical assistance due to acute stress reactions.
The head of the Kyiv Oblast Administration, Mykola Kalagnyk, reported this on Telegram.
«As a result of the emergency event, railway infrastructure was damaged in the Fastiv district. Together with the Ukrzaliznytsia team and relevant services, we are working to eliminate the consequences,» he wrote.
According to the official, a transfer was organized for passengers of train No. 73 Kharkiv - Przemyśl to Kyiv: part of them by bus, and the rest later by train on a modified route.
Medical assistance was provided to three women due to acute stress reactions. An emergency medical team is accompanying the passengers on the train to the capital.
«During the recovery work, long-distance trains will be rerouted around the damaged section via Myronivka or Korosten. This will result in schedule deviations, but railway workers are speeding up trains and manually coordinating all necessary connections,» Kalagnyk noted.
He emphasized that the work to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation is ongoing and should be completed soon.
As previously reported, Ukrzaliznytsia has changed a number of routes due to infrastructure damage in the Kyiv region caused by the emergency situation.
