On the morning of August 19, Russian forces launched an attack on Nizhin using strike drones. Tragically, a 45-year-old man lost his life.

This was reported by Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.

 "This morning, the enemy attacked the city of Nizhin. Unfortunately, we lost a local resident - a civilian male aged 45," he stated.

According to him, the drones also inflicted damage on local infrastructure. Several areas experienced power outages. Currently, energy workers and rescuers are engaged in restoration efforts.
