In Kherson, the humanitarian situation has sharply deteriorated in the Korabel microdistrict following Russian airstrikes. Authorities are urging residents to leave the dangerous area.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

«I have just returned from the Korabel microdistrict and the evacuation point. More people are deciding to leave as the humanitarian situation worsens after the strikes on the bridge. Logistics have become complicated, making it difficult to deliver food, medicines, and other essential items», - stated Prokudin.

According to him, in the last day alone, 219 people were evacuated from Korabel. Since the first attacks, more than 400 individuals have been evacuated.

At the time of the strikes, about 1800 residents remained in the microdistrict. Currently, there is no gas supply in the area, but electricity and water are available. Evacuees are provided with full support - assistance in reaching their relatives or temporary accommodation in shelters.

Prokudin emphasized the importance of evacuating children: «At the time of the first strike on the bridge, there were 44 children living in Korabel. Now only ten remain. One is already being prepared for evacuation, and two more will be evacuated on August 5, while two families are still being negotiated with, as parents are categorically refusing to evacuate. Police and social services are working with them».

Additionally, about 40 people with limited mobility remain in the area. Their evacuation is among the priorities, Prokudin stressed.

«We will help not only with the departure but also with settling in the new location», - assured Prokudin, urging Korabel residents not to delay their decision.

As reported, on the evening of Saturday, August 2, the Russian military dropped two guided bombs on Kherson, damaging the road bridge leading to the Korabel microdistrict, as well as three private houses and an apartment building.

In Kherson, the authorities called on residents of the Korabel microdistrict to evacuate to safer regions due to the increase in attacks by Russian forces.

As of the evening of August 4, 400 residents had been evacuated from the Korabel microdistrict in Kherson, including 34 children and 41 people with limited mobility.
