On the night of July 12, Ukrainian regions were subjected to powerful attacks by Russian forces. Explosions were reported in the capital and other cities such as Lviv and Kharkiv.

According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, the situation is critical: Russian drones are flying over most regions of the country. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kherson, and Mykolaiv.

Authorities are urging citizens to remain in shelters until the alarm is lifted.

Air Force statement: "A large cluster of UAVs has been detected in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, and the western Sumy regions. Drones are making erratic maneuvers! Air defense is active, stay safe!".

At 03:23, military warned of a target in Sumy region heading towards Poltava.

As of 03:50, six Russian cruise missiles were detected moving towards Kremenchuk reservoir.

One missile is heading over Lysyanka towards Kyiv region!

At 04:00, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi confirmed reports of explosions in the city.

"The main concern now is the safety of every resident, so I urge you to stay in shelters until the air alarm is over," the mayor wrote.

As of 04:54, according to the Air Forces, missiles were moving towards Rohatyn, Khodoriv, and Lviv.

Around 5 AM on July 12, the Russian army struck a residential area in Kyiv with a guided bomb, resulting in casualties.
