As a result of the nighttime missile strike carried out by Russia on the city of Smila, the number of casualties has risen to 11, including two children.
This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Igor Taburets.
"According to preliminary data, three missiles and eight drones were recorded falling within the city. The enemy deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure," he emphasized.
In Smila, three nine-story buildings, private homes, and vehicles have been significantly damaged. At least four educational institutions and a psychiatric hospital have suffered. The educational building of the College of the National University of Food Technologies was virtually destroyed, where a graduation ceremony for junior bachelors had recently taken place.
At dawn on June 29, the Cherkasy military administration reported three injured and noted the "impact on civilian infrastructure" due to the attacks by Russia.
