On the night of Tuesday, June 10, the Ukrainian capital experienced a significant airstrike from Russian forces.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Serhiy Tkachenko, and the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko.
Details of the Kyiv Attack on June 10
As a result of falling debris from downed drones, several districts in the capital were affected. As of 05:58, according to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, the number of injured rose to four, all of whom were hospitalized.
At 05:12, Serhiy Tkachenko confirmed that seven districts of the capital sustained damage. There were partial destructions and fires in apartment blocks and private homes. Fires were also reported in vehicles and warehouse facilities.
At 04:17, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district. In the Podilskyi district, drone debris fell in two locations, according to Klitschko.
At 04:02, Vitaliy Klitschko announced a fire in a business center in the Shevchenkivskyi district and warned that missiles were also heading towards Kyiv.
At 03:48, the mayor informed that one injured person was hospitalized in the Obolon district, while earlier, assistance was rendered to another victim in the Darnytskyi district.
Approximately at 03:25, the Kyiv Military Administration provided operational information regarding the impact across districts:
- Darnytskyi district: fire in a non-residential building; destruction of a residential building (preliminarily without fire); falling debris from a drone in a green zone; partial destruction in non-residential areas; damage in a garage cooperative; fires in warehouse facilities.
- Obolon district: damage to two floors of a residential building; fire in an office building; falling debris in open areas.
- Holosiivskyi district: drone debris fell on the territory of a non-residential building.
- Desnianskyi district: a vehicle caught fire due to falling parts of a downed drone.
- Shevchenkivskyi district: fire in a residential building; damage to another address.
- Podilskyi district: damage to non-residential premises.
Currently, efforts to mitigate the aftermath of the attack are ongoing in the capital. Emergency services, rescuers, and city authorities are working at the scene.
