The driver of a civilian freight train sustained injuries due to a drone strike on the locomotive in Donetsk.

Ukrainian Railways statement: "Ceasefire proposals are ignored, enemy attacks on railway infrastructure persist: today (May 12 – ed.) yet another drone targeted a civilian freight train in Donetsk".

Details: It is reported that the driver suffered shrapnel wounds to the leg. He received immediate medical assistance and was hospitalized. Currently, his life is not in danger.

Ukrainian Railways emphasized that the hostile attack did not halt train operations.

"Despite the risks of working near the front lines, drivers courageously continue to operate in bulletproof vests and helmets, equipped with medical kits to provide assistance, as it is critically important to maintain movement where possible," they concluded.
