The new heavy remote demining complex known as "GART 5100", developed by the Ukrainian engineering company XTI Engineering, has successfully passed certification and is set to begin serial production. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The certificate was issued by the State Scientific Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Weapons.

"This machine is designed for neutralizing various types of mines and other explosive devices through detonation or destruction using specialized equipment," the official statement reads.

The Ministry of Defense noted that this is a fully domestic development, and all stages of production take place in Ukraine, allowing for optimized logistics, rapid maintenance, and repairs.

The "GART 5100" can be operated remotely from a distance of up to 600 meters, ensuring the operator's safety. With a relay station, this safe distance can be extended to over 1 kilometer. The complex is equipped with a camera system with a wide field of view.

The machine's working speed is 1.5 km/h. In one daylight period, it can clear over 2 hectares of land contaminated with explosive devices. The demining depth reaches 300 mm, and interchangeable equipment allows it to adapt to various soil types.

Recently, the Ministry of Defense reported that an industrial UAV with a magnetometer is being used for demining in the Mykolaiv region. This system can detect explosive devices not only on the surface but also underground.
