The Ukrainian company VYRIY has unveiled a new technology for drones, enabling them to operate in "cruise control" mode. This solution decreases the vulnerability of unmanned aerial vehicles to electronic warfare, increasing the likelihood of mission success even when communication with the operator is lost.
According to the manufacturer, the new mode allows drones to maintain a stable speed and altitude without constant oversight from the operator. If communication is interrupted, the drone continues its flight on a predetermined trajectory, and after regaining control, the operator can adjust the course and altitude. This feature is crucial for navigating through zones with interference.
The "cruise control" mode also reduces the risk of uncontrolled descent, optimizes energy consumption, and extends mission duration. This solution will be available for all models starting December 1, 2025, at no additional cost.
"We are the first in Ukraine to implement such a solution at a systemic level, developed at the request of the military. We believe this will enhance drone effectiveness by approximately 20%", emphasized VYRIY engineers.
The technology has already undergone various tests, including field trials.
Additionally, VYRIY has launched a scholarship program for aspiring engineers in the defense industry, providing financial support for 35 students over six months.
