A decision has been made in Ukraine to implement 370 new types of ammunition, with 250 designated for drones. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

The project initially focused only on UAVs, but later expanded to include all types of shells. The new Register of Selection Participants and State Contract Executors included 76 new companies that became manufacturers for the first time. This has strengthened competition in the market and expanded the product range. The reduction of approval processes to just a few days has also expedited the development and supply of ammunition.

"The most significant results are those we see on the battlefield. The share of mortar and artillery shells manufactured in Ukraine has increased by 50%. This indicates the successful establishment of closed production cycles," emphasized Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Additionally, within the framework of the experiment, the Ministry of Defense plans to initiate joint projects with 12 specialized chemical manufacturers for the production of critical explosives in 2025.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian interception drone "Shahed" Octopus has entered series production. According to Denys Shmyhal, the technology has been transferred to the first three manufacturers, with another eleven preparing their production lines.

He also stressed that the technology was developed by the Armed Forces and has been tested in combat. These drones operate at night, under jamming, and at low altitudes.
