YouTube has rolled out an exciting new feature that displays short animations after users click the "like" button on individual videos. This update was introduced as part of the October platform enhancements aimed at improving user interaction with content, as reported by The Verge.
Currently, there are 20 different animations available, which vary based on the video's theme. For instance, in motorsport videos, the like button transforms into a smoky wheel, while in educational videos, it appears as a glowing light bulb. There are also options for sports, travel videos, and animal content.
Designer Andreas Storm compiled all these effects into two short clips on platform X, noting that at this time YouTube has not added animations for children's content.
Additionally, YouTube is set to implement a Super Resolution feature for televisions, which will enhance video quality using artificial intelligence.
