Google has dismissed rumors about significant security threats to Gmail users, emphasizing that no mass alerts were sent to all users of the service.
This situation relates to a phishing attack on Salesforce, which Google first reported in June. On August 8, it was revealed that all affected users received notifications.
The company stated: "We want to reassure our users that Gmail's protection is robust and effective."
Google representatives clarified that their protective measures block over 99.9% of phishing attempts and malicious attacks. They also recommend using secure alternatives to passwords, such as passkeys, for maximum account security.
