Ukraine is preparing to launch an innovative platform for the development of artificial intelligence — the AI Factory. The Ministry of Digital Transformation is initiating this project, which will create the first national infrastructure to support and implement AI solutions. This initiative will ensure that the state and citizens' data remain secure within sovereign data centers, protecting them from external threats. As a result, AI products for Ukrainians and the public sector will operate more quickly and efficiently.
The AI Factory will host key government AI services developed by the WINWIN AI Center of Excellence for the Ministry. One of the first projects will be the AI assistant in the Diia application. Additionally, this technology will be utilized for the AI tutor in the Mriya project, and later for initiatives in defense, healthcare, and scientific research.
The AI Factory encompasses:
- state-of-the-art hardware for AI service operations: computing clusters, servers, data storage
- software for training models and processing data
- tools for data management and service integration with registries
- educational programs for specialists working with AI solutions
The launch of the AI Factory marks a crucial step towards Ukraine's technological sovereignty and digital security. This is the beginning of building an independent AI ecosystem where solutions are created in Ukraine for the Ukrainian people.
