The popular ChatGPT service from OpenAI has experienced significant disruptions impacting users around the world.

This morning, major access difficulties have been reported on the platform, as indicated by the monitoring site Downdetector.

ChatGPT Outage: Why the OpenAI service is down and what we know about the errors

Users are flooding the platform with complaints about being unable to load chats or receive responses, instead seeing a system error message: 'Something went wrong'.

The first reports of issues began coming in around 10:00 AM Kyiv time, with the outage rapidly spreading to numerous countries.

On the official OpenAI status page, the company confirmed the presence of issues, stating there was an 'increased number of errors and delays'.

The disruptions affected not only ChatGPT but also the Sora video creation tool and the API interface.

By 1:00 PM, the company updated the information, categorizing the problems with ChatGPT as a 'partial outage' and separating the issues with Sora into a distinct category.

Not all users are experiencing the problems in the same way: some report extremely slow service and significant response delays, while others continue to use the chatbot without any visible issues.

OpenAI representatives have officially stated that they are continuing to investigate the incident.

Currently, the reasons for the outage and the estimated time for full service restoration have not been disclosed.
