The Ukrainian men's national hockey team achieved a victory over Romania in the first match of the second round of the European Nations Cup.

Romania — Ukraine 2:3 (0:0, 0:2, 2:1).

Goals: 0:1 — Zherebko (Zakharov, Borodai), 31:55. 0:2 — Krivoshapkin (power play), 38:06. 0:3 — Peresunko (Mazur, Vorona), 45:07. 1:3 — Rot (Antal, Geshe O.), 49:20. 2:3 — Peter (Laday), 51:07.

The standout player of the match for Ukraine was 17-year-old debutant Denis Zherebko.

In the upcoming December tour of the newly established IIHF tournament, Ukraine will face Romania in three matches from December 11 to 13 in Bucharest at the Berceni Arena Sport Center (previously scheduled matches against Lithuania and Spain have been canceled).

As a reminder, during the inaugural November round of the European Nations Cup, hosted by Lithuania, Dmitry Khrystych's team confidently defeated Romania 4:1 and lost to Lithuania 1:2.
