The captain of the Ukrainian men's biathlon team, Dmytro Pidruchnyi, will miss the individual race at the first stage of the World Cup 2025/26 in Östersund, Sweden.
The athlete announced this on his personal Instagram page.
"I woke up this morning feeling unwell. My throat is bothering me. After discussing with my coach, we decided to skip the race, as the season is long ahead and there's no need to take risks," wrote the 34-year-old biathlete.
