The Ukrainian team will showcase its skills in three short track events at the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Licenses were secured by Oleg Handey and Yelyzaveta Sydyorko.
Over the past two months, additional licenses were contested at four stages of the USI World Tour.
Competitions took place in Dordrecht, Netherlands, from November 27 to 30.
Licenses for individual events were awarded based on the top-32 in the 500m and 1000m distances, and top-36 for the 1500m. The best three results from the top-ranked short trackers of each nation across four stages were taken into account.
Handey maintained qualifying positions in two events – 500m and 1500m, finishing 26th and 36th respectively.
Sydyorko secured a spot for Ukraine in the 500m event, where she placed 29th, marking the only women's license for the team at the 2026 Olympics.
The licenses are not specific to individuals, so changes may occur in the Ukrainian lineup.
