From November 30 to December 7, 2025, the Ukrainian capital will host the national sports championship for defense forces titled 'HART'. This event is organized by the 'Come Back Alive' initiative center in collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The main goal of the championship is to create opportunities for the rehabilitation of veterans through physical activity and the promotion of adaptive sports. The organizers emphasize that professional sports experience is not required for participation. Sports can serve as a vital tool for recovery after injuries and help individuals reconnect with their bodies while finding support among peers facing similar challenges.
The championship program includes wheelchair basketball, rugby, sitting volleyball, archery, swimming, cycling, laser run, powerlifting, and rowing on ergometers.
It is expected that over 500 veterans, female veterans, and guests will participate. Accommodation, meals, and logistics will be provided for participants.
The 'HART' sports championship aims not only to popularize adaptive sports but also to create a supportive community for those who have served and are in recovery.
