Ukrainian athletes showcased their talent by winning an impressive total of eight medals at the Grand Prix Brno held in the Czech Republic. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
The medals were primarily secured by three athletes: Vadym Naumenko, Heorhiy Lukashev, and Maksym Ovchinnikov.
Vadym Naumenko made the most significant impact by winning gold in the 100 and 200 meters individual medley events. He also earned a silver medal in the 200 meters freestyle. Heorhiy Lukashev added another gold medal to the tally by triumphing in the 400 meters individual medley.

Medals won by Ukrainian swimmers at Grand Prix Brno-2025:

  • Gold: Vadym Naumenko (100 m individual medley); Vadym Naumenko (200 m individual medley); Heorhiy Lukashev (400 m individual medley);
  • Silver: Heorhiy Lukashev (200 m butterfly); Vadym Naumenko (200 m freestyle);
  • Bronze: Maksym Ovchinnikov (200 m individual medley); Maksym Ovchinnikov (100 m breaststroke); Maksym Ovchinnikov (50 m breaststroke).

It is also worth noting that World Aquatics has allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions under a neutral status.
