On October 18, a run will take place in Kyiv to support military personnel who have been captured.
The event is organized by the Association of Families of Defenders of «Azovstal» together with the released fighter of «Azov» known as «Rasti».
The exact number of defenders held in Russian captivity is unknown, but some have been imprisoned for four years.
From May 16 to 20, under the orders of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the defenders of Mariupol left the «Azovstal» plant to preserve their lives.
According to preliminary agreements, they were supposed to remain in the territory controlled by Russians for four months. However, the enemy continues to hold them captive, violating all agreements and international conventions.
Additionally, there are documented cases of torture, unlawful trials, and baseless accusations.
“This run is not just a sports event. It is an act of remembrance and gratitude. We remind the world that our soldiers are still waiting to return home. This is our collective call for freedom for those who deserve it,” emphasize the organizers.
