Young Ukrainian diver Alexey Sereda is a contender for the title of best athlete of the year according to World Aquatics, as announced by the federation's press service.
Alongside him, competing for this prestigious award are Cassiel Russo from Australia, Osmar Olvera from Mexico, and Juan Chao and Zongguan Wang from China.
In 2025, Sereda won three gold medals at the European Championships in Antalya: in individual diving, synchronized diving, and in the mixed team event. He also has a silver medal from the mixed events at the World Cup Superfinal and a bronze in synchronized diving.
Additionally, our athlete secured a silver medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, which became Ukraine's only medal in the team standings.
