The basketball season has officially begun in Ukraine. Three teams from Kyiv have started their campaigns in both the men's and women's Superleagues.

MEN'S SUPERLEAGUE — BK «KYIV-BASKET»

The Ukrainian basketball championship in the Superleague consists of two stages. In the first stage, all ten teams will compete against each other in a four-round format. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs. «Kyiv-Basket» has already completed two double rounds, winning all four matches.

Currently, «Kyiv-Basket» is leading the Superleague standings.

WOMEN'S SUPERLEAGUE — «KYIV-BASKET» AND «BUDIVELNYK»

In the women's Superleague for the 2025/2026 season, only five teams are participating, two of which are from Kyiv: «Kyiv-Basket» and «Budivelnyk». The format is similar to the men's league, with a regular season followed by playoffs. In the first stage, teams will play in four rounds, while in the second stage, they will enter the playoffs. However, the playoffs will start from the semifinals, involving four teams.

So far, only one double round has taken place in the women's Superleague, during which the Kyiv teams faced each other. In both instances, the players of «Budivelnyk» emerged victorious.
