The World Archery Championship has concluded in South Korea, featuring 123 female competitors from various countries. Among them, Anastasia Pavlova stood out by reaching the top 8.
She finished in 7th place, being the only European in this elite group. This is a significant achievement for Ukraine and the Kherson region.
Her journey to the finals was challenging:
- In the round of 16, she defeated Brazilian archer Sliachticas Caetano Ana Luiza with a score of 7:1;
- In the quarter-finals, she overcame Spanish competitor Unamunzaga Altuna Irati, winning 7:3;
- In the semi-finals, she faced a Chinese archer and lost with a score of 2:6.
In team events, Anastasia also showed commendable results: she placed 11th among 32 teams in the women's category and 4th in the mixed category out of 43 teams. In the Olympic round, the Ukrainian teams finished in 9th place, while the duo of Pavlova and Gunbin claimed 7th place.
