The Ukrainian women's beach football team concluded their Euroleague 2025 campaign by winning a bronze medal. In the third-place match, Ukraine faced Poland. The match ended 3:3 after regular and extra time, and Ukraine triumphed 4:3 in the penalty shootout.
The match was played without the head coach, as Yuriy Klymenko was dismissed during the semifinals. Poland took the lead early in the second minute with a successful penalty kick – 0:1. However, Ukraine quickly equalized with a stunning shot from Anna Shulga – 1:1.
The Polish team had more scoring opportunities, yet Ukraine managed to take the lead again with a goal from Iryna Bavzenyuk – 2:1.
In the second half, Ukraine conceded another goal from a penalty – 2:2. Shortly after, Iryna Dubytska set up Margarita Yurasova for a goal, restoring Ukraine's lead at 3:2. Unfortunately, a mistake in defense allowed Poland to equalize – 3:3.
In the closing minutes, Polish players seemed more aggressive, but Ukraine held on, thanks to a crucial save from Terek, sending the match into extra time.
In the final moments of the match, Ukraine earned a free kick but failed to convert. In a dramatic penalty shootout, Ukraine emerged victorious with a score of 4:3.
