The Ukrainian women's volleyball team achieved a remarkable victory over Hungary in the final of the 2025 Euro League.

The team won the match in four sets, with scores of 25:16, 23:25, 25:15, and 25:17.

Euro League, Women
Final, June 29

Result: Ukraine – Hungary 3:1 (25:16, 23:25, 25:15, 25:17)

In the semifinals, the Ukrainians easily defeated Sweden without losing a single set. Hungary, on the other hand, overcame Romania in a five-set match.

It is important to note that winning the Euro League does not guarantee Ukraine's direct qualification for the Nations League.

To qualify for the Nations League, the team must hold the highest position in the ranking among those not participating in the tournament. The Ukrainian national team will compete for this spot with Argentina and Puerto Rico.

This marks Ukraine's third final in the history of the Euro League and the third victory, with previous wins in 2017 and 2023.

As a reminder, at the end of January, the women's team welcomed a new head coach. The 39-year-old Polish specialist Jakub Glushak took the helm, having previously coached the Polish club Tauron League "Radomka" from Radom.
