After recovering from a back injury, silver medalist of the 2025 Ukrainian Indoor Championship, Olga Korsun, prepared for the summer season. She did not make it to the finals in her last international competition, finishing 15th at the European Indoor Championships.

This Continental Tour stage in Tokyo marked the beginning of Korsun's summer season in 2025, where she had the chance to compete for a medal. Her opponents included the 2015 European Youth Champion Dovile Kiltis, 2024 Oceania Champion Desli Owusu, and Asian Championship winner Mariko Morimoto.

- In the last three attempts, Korsun cleared 13.40 m twice, but it wasn't enough to contest for gold against Takashima. Ultimately, Korsun's best result remained 13.53 m, earning her the silver medal. The podium was completed by another Japanese athlete, Akari Funada.
