The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has amended the government decree regarding visa-free entry for Ukrainian citizens.

Details: On April 3, it became known that the visa-free stay for Ukrainian citizens in Georgia has been reduced from three years to one year.

"Ukrainian citizens are allowed to enter Georgia without a visa and stay in the country for a full year", – states the document.

Ukrainians who entered and stayed in Georgia before February 24, 2025, will have their residency extended until February 24, 2026.

Background: In February 2023, the Georgian authorities permitted Ukrainians to stay in the country without a visa for two years, and in April 2024, this term was extended to three years.
