In Ukraine, emergency power outages have been implemented due to recent missile strikes from Russia on the morning of February 11, as reported by Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
Where were the outages implemented?
According to him, at night, the enemy attacked Ukraine's gas infrastructure and continued to target energy facilities in the morning.
“To minimize potential impacts on the energy system, the transmission system operator is urgently implementing emergency power restrictions”, Halushchenko noted.
“Ukrenergo” confirmed the introduction of emergency electricity outages and stated that restrictions would be lifted after the air alert ends.
DTЕК also reported emergency power outages in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
Massive Attack on Ukraine on February 11 - Key Points
On February 11, Russia carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine using missiles and drones. The targets included energy facilities, particularly gas infrastructure.
As a result of the missile strike in Poltava region, nine settlements were left without gas supply.
No hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded.
In Zaporizhzhia region, three people were injured due to the attacks.
In the past day, the aggressor launched 83 attack drones at Ukraine, with air defense downing 61 of them. Over the past week, the Russians dropped more than 1260 bombs on Ukrainian cities and villages and launched nearly 750 attack drones and more than 10 missiles of various types.
