Olena Zelenska, the president's wife, announced the launch of a new global initiative titled "Every Generation Leaves a Mark, Education Defines It" aimed at supporting educational projects.

This announcement was made during the fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen held in the capital of Ukraine.

"We leave the summit inspired and ready to take action. The first step we are taking as a result of this summit starts here. Together with my fellow first ladies, I am excited to announce the launch of our campaign supporting education called "Every Generation Leaves a Mark, Education Defines It"," she stated.

Zelenska emphasized that quality modern education encompasses not only academic knowledge but also emotional intelligence, humanism, and an open worldview.

"While these concepts may have once been separate, modern life shows that for humanity to survive, education and the best human qualities must grow side by side," she remarked.

The president's wife highlighted that all guests at the summit gained unique experiences and heard intriguing ideas. She noted that the choice of this year’s theme was well-founded.

Zelenska also expressed gratitude to the first ladies, gentlemen, experts, and teachers who participated in the discussions.

"It is a great honor for us that many of you spent these two days with us. Thank you for being there for your students and for us. If anything gives hope to humanity, it is your work," she concluded.

It is worth mentioning that the fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen took place in Kyiv under the theme «Education that Shapes the World». The event welcomed first ladies and gentlemen from six countries: Doris Schmidauer (Austria), Bo Tengberg (Denmark), Sirje Karis (Estonia), Suzanne Innes-Stubb (Finland), Elke Budenbender (Germany), and Diana Nausediene (Lithuania).
