Throughout August, four new Ukrainian audio guides have been introduced in the international cultural scene. This was announced by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who is implementing an initiative to promote the Ukrainian language in cultural heritage sites worldwide.
Specifically, Ukrainian audio tours are now available at the Rembrandt Museum in Amsterdam (Netherlands) – the only museum dedicated entirely to the life and work of the artist, as well as at the Lagos Museum (municipality of Portugal in the Algarve region), known for its maritime history, at the Mihály Munkácsy Museum in Békéscsaba (Hungary), which houses archaeological finds from various historical periods, and at the Berlin Picture Gallery (Germany), showcasing works by great masters.
“Ukrainian is a language of culture, art, and dialogue among civilizations. This project of audio guides expands the presence of the Ukrainian language in leading museums around the world and unites the civilized world,” emphasized the First Lady.
Currently, there are 106 audio guides available in museums, galleries, and historical-cultural sites across 55 countries.
