Seven veteran teams competed in four categories.
On June 13, a new modern petanque court was inaugurated at «Pribrezhnuy» Park, alongside the 6th tournament as part of the «Petanque for Veterans» initiative.

For seven hours, fierce competition took place among 7 veteran teams: «Steel Legion» (Kovel), «Iron Warriors» (Kyiv), «Strong in Spirit» (Poltava), «Unbroken» (Kryvyi Rih), the charity fund «Ukraine Above All» (Kyiv), the charity fund «Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine» (Kyiv), and the charity fund «Reviving the Strong» (Kyiv).
A surprise greeting from Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Marchuk, who had just returned from the frontline, delighted the participants. The Ukrainian Anthem and «Kyiv Waltz» performed by opera singer Yuriy Hodo added to the festive atmosphere.
Throughout the seven hours, fans passionately supported their veteran clubs.
In the «Winning Club» category, gold was awarded to «Steel Legion» (Kovel), silver to «Iron Warriors» (Kyiv), and bronze to «Ukraine Above All» (Kyiv).
In the «Captains' Battle», Dmitro Martyniuk from «Steel Legion» took first place, followed by Serhiy Khrapko from «Iron Warriors» in second, and Mykhailo Parfionov from «Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine» in third.
In the «Triples» category, the winners were «Ukraine Above All» (Kyiv), «Strong in Spirit» (Poltava), and «Unbroken» (Kryvyi Rih), while in the «Doubles» category, the winners were «Steel Legion» (Kovel), «Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine» (Kyiv), and «Ukraine Above All» (Kyiv).
Yevheniya Nersesyan, head of the charity fund «Ukraine Above All», donated a complete set of sports equipment for petanque and future tournaments.
The organizers affirm that petanque is a veteran sport accessible to everyone without restrictions.
