On April 24, despite nighttime bombardments, the third 'Book Country' festival kicked off in Kyiv. This year's theme focuses on 'spring, flowers, and books'.

The festival utilizes 7 pavilions at the Exhibition Center, featuring masterclasses and traditional booths with books from publishers and bookstores. Seventy-two publishers, nine bookstores, ten educational spaces, and sixteen charitable initiatives are participating.

Organizers have created photo zones with giant flowers, interactive floral installations, and flower-decorated mirrors.

The 'Book Country' program includes over 300 events: book presentations, author meetings, masterclasses, discussions, open book club sessions, and awards for book bloggers.

This year, the military pavilion program #Frontmen has expanded. It includes not only book presentations and author meetings but also a focus on combat poetry, theatrical performances, and clusters of contemporary dramaturgy. Readings with veterans will also take place here.

At Pavilion No. 4, where the #Frontmen events are held, you can attend:

  • April 25, Hall 1, 18:00 - presentation of the book by veteran Alina Sarnatska, 'Who United Love and Courage: LGBTQ+ Veterans in the Russo-Ukrainian War.'
  • April 25, Hall 1, 19:30 - Military stand-up performance 'Unborn for War' by Yevhen Avdiyenko and director Anatoliy Neyolov.
  • April 26, Hall 1, 14:00 - Continuous Military Poetry Marathon FROОNTMEN.
