From May 1 to July 14, a train adorned by American artist Barbara Kruger will be traveling through Ukraine. The project is titled "Untitled".

This was reported by The Art Newspaper.

The artist has decorated the "Intercity" trains of Ukrzaliznytsia. The train will make its first journey from Kyiv-Passazhyrskyi to the Darnița station, stopping in Lviv, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi.

Barbara Kruger created this installation on behalf of the cultural organization RIBBON International in collaboration with Ukrainian Railways.

Project curator Maria Isserlis noted that Kruger was inspired by the agit-trains of Vasyl Yermilov from the 1920s, which featured revolutionary slogans and spread propaganda messages in rural areas of Ukraine.

The text on the train is written in Ukrainian because Kruger wanted people to understand the writings and feel a connection to the culture.

"For her, the train symbolizes solidarity," says Isserlis.

Barbara Kruger is renowned for her bold, provocative texts addressing contemporary issues. Her works encourage passersby to pause, reflect, and reassess the world around them.

In the commissioned project "Untitled (Another One)" are the following lines:

"ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER NIGHT ANOTHER DARKNESS ANOTHER GLIMMER ANOTHER KISS ANOTHER FIGHT ANOTHER LOSS ANOTHER GAIN ANOTHER DESIRE ANOTHER SIN ANOTHER SMILE ANOTHER TEAR ANOTHER HOPE ANOTHER FEAR ANOTHER LOVE ANOTHER YEAR ANOTHER ARGUMENT ANOTHER LIFE"
