According to new research, Ukrainian teenagers showcase a low level of financial literacy.

This information was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The average percentage of correct answers to case tasks among teenagers stands at 46.6%,

which corresponds to 3 points in the 12-point school grading system.

The best results were observed among students from Dnipropetrovsk (57.4%), Ivano-Frankivsk (53.7%) regions, and the city of Kyiv (50.4%).

The lowest scores were noted in Kirovohrad (37.4%), Mykolaiv (39.7%), and Chernivtsi (41.4%) regions.

Girls achieved better results (47.4%) compared to boys (45.6%). Urban students scored 48%, while rural students scored 40%.

Moreover, no teenager provided 100% correct answers to all the case questions presented in the survey.

The research was conducted by specialists from the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research named after O. Yaremenko in April 2024. The participant sample was formed by employees of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Educational Analytics".

During this study, specialists tested over 3,000 students aged 14 to 17 from 19 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv.
